Accreditation and Approvals

Interboro Institute is authorized by the New York State Board of Regents to confer the degree of Associate in Occupational Studies and the degree of Associate in Applied Science. All degree programs are registered by the New York State Education Department. The Ophthalmic Dispensing program is nationally accredited by the Commission on Opticianry Accreditation. The Paralegal Studies program is approved by the American Bar Association.

Interboro offers a variety of specialized courses of study, referred to as curricula, programs, or majors, to prepare students for employment after graduation or to transfer to a four-year college. All listed courses of study lead to the Associate in Applied Science (AAS) degree or the Associate in Occupational Studies (AOS) degree. Advanced standing and transfer credit are given to students when appropriate and may reduce the minimum time of study required at Interboro. Enrollment in other than registered or otherwise approved programs may jeopardize a student’s eligibility for certain student aid awards
