Interboro Institute is a commuter college offering instruction in four
locations: Manhattan, Flushing, Washington Heights, and Yonkers.
Courses are offered in the mornings, afternoons, and evenings on a
semester basis to accommodate flexible scheduling.
The
college ensures that the students at all locations receive the same
high quality instruction and support from our faculty and staff.
Academic and administrative services, including Admissions, Library,
Computer labs, Tutoring, Academic Advising, Bursar, Registrar, Career
Placement Services, and Financial Aid are also available at all
locations.
Students can,
and frequently do, move easily from one location to another in the
course of completing their degrees at Interboro Institute. Every
student must complete some coursework at the main campus in Manhattan
to earn his/her degree.

The campus is centrally located, readily accessible to subways and bus
lines, and is within easy traveling distance of the Port Authority Bus
Terminal, Pennsylvania Station, and Grand Central Station.
Transportation information can be found on the inside front cover of
this catalog. The main campus consists of three floors at 450 West 56th
Street, located in Columbus Circle section of Manhattan, and a nearby
annex with classrooms and offices supporting instruction and
administrative functions.
In
addition to over 25 classrooms, our facilities consist of libraries,
laboratories, clinics, a learning center, and an advisement center.
Admissions, financial aid, registrar, bursar, career placement
services, and counseling center provide additional services for
students. The college’s facilities at each location are accessible to
the physically challenged.
Interboro
Institute maintains the appropriate equipment and media technology to
provide instructional support in all academic departments. The college
offers high-speed Internet connections in computer laboratories, the
libraries, and the Academic Resource Center.
Ophthalmic
dispensing laboratories and clinics are equipped with state-of-the-art
instrumentation and materials for both theoretical and practical
hands-on experience. The campus features an optical dispensary and full
examination room. Eye examinations are conducted by a licensed
optometrist, while eyeglasses and contact lenses are dispensed under
the direction of licensed opticians. These professional services are
available to all members of the Interboro community.

The Flushing Extension Center, located at 135-27 38th Avenue in
Flushing, Queens, is in the middle of a vibrant, multi-ethnic
community. The facility, an easy walk from the Number 7 subway line,
encompasses one and a half floors in a 3- story brick building and a
new annex.
Students
can enroll in any of Interboro’s programs of study and complete most of
their studies in Management, Office Technologies-Medical Office
Assistant, and Paralegal Studies at this center. Some coursework must
be completed on the main campus in Manhattan.

Interboro Institute also offers instruction at its center in Washington
Heights, located at 260 Audubon Avenue, which can be reached by public
transportation. This northern tip of Manhattan has a rich political and
cultural history and is home to Americans from all over the world.
The main facility and its nearby annexes include classrooms, computer
laboratories with high-speed Internet access, a renovated library, an
academic resource center, and a center for advisement and retention.
Additional student support services are available. Currently, students
can begin any program of study at the Washington Heights Extension
Center and complete most of their required courses in Management,
Office Technologies-Medical Office Assistant, and Paralegal Studies
there. Some coursework must be completed on the main campus in
Manhattan.

Interboro Institute offers a full-time program of instruction in
Management and in Office Technologies-Medical Office Assistant at its
Yonkers location. Students must complete some coursework at the main
campus in Manhattan. The site at 53 South Broadway and its nearby annex
are in the heart of downtown Yonkers (Getty Square).
In
addition to comfortable, well-lit classrooms, there are
state-of-the-art computer laboratories, a library with breath-taking
views of the Hudson River, an Academic Resource Center and a Center for
Advisement and Retention.
